  5. Prepare 1 cup baby (salad) shrimp [optional]
  6. Get 1 envelope sazon
  7. Get 1 tbsp minced garlic

Garlic, ginger, green onion, ground black pepper, hot pepper flakes, large green onion, long arm octopus, nakji, onion, potato starch, rice syrup, sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, vegetable oil. Wash the rice and drain in a colander. Chop the octopus into bitesize pieces. Never had octopus ink, does it taste similar to squid ink?

Steps to make Rice and Octopus:
  1. In pot empty the octopus and squid and the garlic and fry them for about a minute or 2.
  2. Add the water and sazon. Stir and let it boil in med high.
  3. After a minute of boiling add the rice and baby shrimp to the water. Stir.
  4. Boil uncovered until the water is almost unseen. Turn heat to low. Cover with top.
  5. In about 10 to 15 mins the rice will be done.

Humans of some cultures eat octopus. The arms and sometimes other body parts are prepared in various ways, often varying by species and/or geography. Tako (蛸) means octopus and meshi (飯) means rice.
