- Get 1 dash Salt & Fresh Cracked Pepper
Steps to make Chicago Style Sausage & Peppers:
- Preheat oven to 400°
- Poke each Sausage with a Fork 4-5 times
- Heat a Duch Oven Pot or a 4 quart pot with Lid that can go in the oven over medium/low heat. Add Sausage and cook them until there nice and brown all over. Remove Sausage from pot and set aside. Sausage will finish cooking in the oven
- Add Olive oil to pot then Onions. Season with Salt & Sauté until translucent
- Add Garlic & Diced Tomatoes. Season with Salt & Fresh Cracked Pepper
- Add Crushed Red Pepper, Oregano & All 3 Bell Peppers tossing them around until they're wilted
- Slice Sausage into Thirds & Add back in pot bring to a boil and Simmer for 10mins then put the pot in the oven
- Cook until most of the liquid has evaporated and peppers are tender about 30-40mins
- Serve on a plate, Have it with Pasta, Rice or Stuff it in a Sandwich Roll with Cheese! ;)
