- In a pot fry the grated scotch bonnet pepper etc with palm oil, keep aside and fry the grated okra for at least ten minutes, add the meat stock, and grated scotch bonnet pepper
- Add the grounded okra and mix, add seasoning and allow it to simmer for about 10mins
- Transfer it into a clean bowl and serve with tuwo of choice
We had an Okra tree and each time it would bear it's fruit, my mother would harvest and chop them up into little pieces and add them to some soup. Okra or Okro soup is prepared using the edible green seed pods of the okra flowering plant as a primary ingredient. Okra has a slippery feel when rubbed with the fingers. The edible green seed pods can also be used in stews and soups. Fresh okra coated in flour and fried until golden brown.
