- Prepare 1/4 cup Pigeon pea/toor dal/arahar dal

- Take Water – approximately 1&1/2 litres
- Prepare For tempering :
- Take 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- Make ready 1/2 tbsp Ghee
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- Get 1/4 tsp Hing
Rasam is a light lentil soup that gets its flavor from tamarind broth, diced tomatoes, traditional spices, and curry leaves. How to make rasam vadai with full video and step by step pictures. - Wash well and cook both the lentils in 1/2 litre of water and keep it aside

- The rasam/saaru for vada is ready to be used
- Now place the prepared vada/waday in a serving bowl and pour the saaru/rasam over it and let it sit for five minutes and then serve hot, relish the hot steaming yummy rasam waday/vada
