  2. Take 2 tablespoons Sambhar / rasam powder

Instructions to make Tamil Rasam:
  1. First cook the tuvar dal. Keep it aside.
  2. Then add water to the tamarind pulp and let it boil.
  3. Add the sliced tomato, salt and turmeric powder.
  4. After the tomato is cooked, add sambhar powder.
  5. Stir well and add the cooked tuvar dal.
  6. After it starts to boil, add seasoned mustard and red chilli and garnish it with coriander leaves.
  7. Rasam is ready.
