Instructions to make Non Fried Bakata Vada Aloo Bonda:
- Firstly smash boiled potatoes, add Aamchur, Salt, Asafoetedia, ginger, Chillies, Turmeric powder, Sugar, Garam Masala and mix it.
- Take oil in a container, heat it add Mustard Seeds, Curry leaves, Coriander leaves. Roast till it crackles Add it to potato mixture. Mix well.
- Roll the mixture into balls.
- Prepare flowing consistency batter from besan after adding all dry ingredients to it. Add 1 Tbsp hot oil to the batter to get soft vada's.
- Heat Appam Patra on medium flame and brush with oil. Dip Vada in the batter and place it in the Appam Patra.
- If you don't have an Appam Patra, heat a kadai on low flame. Add very little oil and put the Vada in it.
- Cook on low flame for 2 - 3 minutes. Turn the side and cook till golden brown. Repeat this. Till it's crispy. No need to add oil.
- Vada prepared in kadai.
- Vadas are ready to serve. 1st photo is of Vadas prepared in kadai. 2nd photo of vadas prepared in Appam Patra. It is now ready to be served hot.
