  1. In a kadai heat oil. Put mustard seeds,hing, red chilli, Curry leave and urad dal.
  2. When the mustard seeds spluter, add chopped garlic and fry for 1 min.
  3. Add chopped Onion, salt and fry till onion is translucent not brown.
  4. When tomatoes become soft like chutney, add water as per your choice of the rasam gravy. Mix the rasam powder very well and switch off the flame.
