- Prepare 👉FOR ALOO PREPARATION:- 10 baby potatoes
- Take 2 cups water, or as required

- Make ready 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Take 👉FOR MASALA PASTE / GRAVY:- 1 inch cinnamon stick

- Prepare 2 cardamom
- Take 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- Prepare 3/4 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- Prepare 1 large tomato, finely chopped
- Make ready 10 cashews
- Make ready 👉FOR DUM ALOO RECIPE:- 1 tsp oil
- Prepare 3/4 tsp cumin seeds
- Prepare 1-1,1/2 tsp chilli powder, adjust to your spice level
- Get 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- Get 3/4 tsp coriander powder
- Make ready to taste salt
- Take 1/4 cup curd
- Take 1 tsp kasuri methi
- Take 1 cup water, adjust to required
- Get As required coriander leaves, finely chopped
Steps to make Dum Aloo Shot:
- Firstly, pressure cook baby potatoes with 2 cups of water and salt. pressure cook for 1-2 whistle.
- Allow the potatoes to cool. then peel off the skin from the potatoes. - prick all over the potatoes well with fork.
- Than deep fry boiled potatoes. Frying - till they turn golden brown. approx. 3-5 minutes. then keep the fried aloos aside.
- Gravy— - - Take pan, add oil, add spices like cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. saute till they turn fragrant.
- Next add in sliced onions and saute till they turn translucent. - now add ginger-garlic paste and continue to fry. - once the raw smell on ginger-garlic disappears, add chopped tomatoes and saute till they turn soft.
- Also add few cashews and saute. turn off the flame. - once the mixture is cooled, blend to smooth paste without adding water.
- DUM ALOO Recipe:- - Take Pan, add a tsp of oil along with cumin seeds. - once cumin seeds splutter, add prepared masala paste and fry for 5-6 minutes.
- Now add spices like chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt to taste. continue to fry till oil separates. turn the flame to low and add curd. Give a good mix.
- Add 1 cup of water or as required to adjust the consistency.
- Finally, add fried aloos and cook for 20 min. lastly add some crushed kasuri methi. garnish with coriander leaves and serve dum aloo hot with rice, chapathi or naan.
