Steps to make Raw tamarind Dal rasam:
  1. Boil raw tamarind.
  2. Pressure Cook 1 cup of toor Dal.
  3. Slice onions, vegetables, curry leaves, garlic, green chilli.
  4. Grind toor dal.
  5. Take a pan and keep it on the stove. Pour oil, add mustard and cumin seeds. Once the mustard and cumin seeds crackle add garlic, once the garlic becomes brown add onions, curry leaves, chilli. Roast it until the onion half cooked, add salt and turmeric, add vegetables. Close it with a lid and keep the stove in low flame. Open the lid and mix in between. Once the vegetable cooked properly add roasted and ground coriander, cumin and fenugreek powder into and mix it well.
  6. Squeeze the water from tamarind.
  7. Take out the water from the tamarind and the water into the vegetables. Boil it.
  8. And then add grinded Dal into water. Add water. Boil it, add coriander leaves.
  9. Take it into a bowl and serve hot with rice.
