The ingredients needed to make Rava/Semolina Ladoo:
- Take 1 cup Rava/semolina/Sooji:
- Take 1 cup Sugar:
- Prepare 3/4 cup Dessicated coconut powder:
- Take 4/5 Cardamom pods
- Get as required Saffron strands: Few
- Make ready 1 tbsp Cashews
- Take 1 tbsp Raisins:
- Prepare 1 tbsp Almonds
- Make ready 1 1 1/2 tbsp Ghee
Steps to make Rava/Semolina Ladoo:
- Heat kadai and pour ghee. Fry dry fruits in ghee. In the same kadai, add semolina and roast till raw smell goes away.
- Meanwhile prepare sugar syrup with one string consistency. Take one cup of sugar in a bowl and add half cup of water. When it starts boiling add crushed cardamoms.
- Check for one string consistency between your fingers and switch off the flame. Now add saffron strands and mix thoroughly. If we add saffron during boiling it imparts colour to the Laddoos. To avoid that I added after switch off the flame.
- Now slowly and carefully add sugar syrup, dessicated coconut powder to the roasted Rava dry fruits mixture. Mix thoroughly well and switch off the flame.
- Allow the mixture to completely cool down and make into small sized balls.
- Now tasty Rava Laddoos are ready to relish.
