- Make ready 2 large tomato
- Get 1 medium Onion
- Make ready 3-4 green chillis
- Make ready 1 tsp pepper corn

- Get 1 sprig curry leaves
- Take 2 inch tamarind
- Prepare 2 tsp chilli powder

- Prepare Rasam Powder (preferably achi or shakthi)
- Take 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Make ready Bunch coriander leaves
- Prepare 3/4 litre Water
- Prepare 3 tsp oil
Instructions to make Kadak Rasam:
- Heat oil in a bottom pan. Add mustard when the oil is hot. Add curry leaves. Let it splutter. Add currry leaves, crushed ginger, garlic and pepper corn
- Add onions and chilli. Fry til golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes. Fry til the tomato turns mushy
- Once the tomato is mushy, add turmeric, chilli powder, salt and rasam Powder. Add tamarind.
- Mix well for a minute
- Add water, mix well and cover the lid.
- Let the mixture boil for 10-15 minutes
- After 15 minutes, add some more rasam Powder, salt and tamarind if needed.
- Final step, add coriander leaves, and boil on low flame fr 5 minutes.
