Steps to make Dosa and Idli:
- Soak rice and dal for 3-4hrs
- Grind them into fine paste and keep for fermentation for at least 6-8hrs
- Divide into two parts and add little water for Dosa batter
- Add salt and mix well
- Add water to idli maker…Grease the idli plate and pour the batter..
- Let it steam for around 10-12mins
- Heat a tawa and wipe it with little oil
- Then pour 1tbsp batter and spread outward…drizzle some oil/butter
- Let it cook…when the side leaves the tawa…fold the dosa and serve
- Serve with sambhar and chutney
