Idiyappam is one of those dishes which has been my favorite right from childhood. Idiyappam also called as string hoppers is a traditional Tamil, Kerala and Sri Lankan food consisting of rice flour pressed into noodle form and then steamed.   1. Take a pan roast rice flour for a while 2-3 min. Color of flour should not be changed.

  3. Then add this water mixture to the rice flour and make a soft dough.
  4. Now make a idiyaapam with the help of mould and steam it in the idli cooker.
  5. To make rasam.
  6. First boil the daal and mash it properly then blend it with blender so that daal and water shoud mix properly.
  7. Then take a pan add tamrind boil it for 5-7 min then sieve the tamrind water. it's water will be ready.
  8. Now add tamrind water, tomato and spices and boil it for 5-7 min. Then add daal boil it again add rasam powder and in last make tadka and add in it.
  9. Garnish with coriander.
