- First wash the potatoes. Put a cut in them without splitting and boil them. Peel and then keep it aside.
- You can either fry the potatoes or leave them as is.
- Cut onion into small pieces. Grind it in mixer grinder to make a paste. Also grind tomatoes into a paste.
- Take kadhai, add oil and jeera. Once it starts spluttering, add the paste and let it fry for 5-6 minutes. Now add haldi, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt to taste. Let it mix well for 3-4 minutes.
- Add water to it to make it gravy time. Now add the fried potato into it. Let it cook for sometime 3-4 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve dum aloo hot with rice, chapathi or naan.
