- Get 1 & half cup of Dosa rice (white/raw rice)
- Take 1/4 cup Grated coconut (optional)
- Prepare Coconut oil - for smearing the skillet

- Wash the rice thrice and soak it in clean water for minimum 3 to 4 hours. It can be soaked overnight too for an early breakfast.
- Drain the water. Grind the rice in a mixer grinder along with grated coconut (optional) & one and half cup of water. Grind it into smooth batter & transfer to a deep bowl. Add 3 to 4 cups of water to get the required watery consistency. Add salt as per your taste.
- Heat an iron skillet on medium flame and smear it with a thin layer of coconut oil. Take some batter in a ladle and pour it evenly on the skillet. Close the lid immediately to avoid cracking of dosa and cook for 45 secs.
- Once done, remove the dosa with a spatula. It can be folded and served with chicken / fish curry or coconut chutney as a dip.
