  1. Get 1 kg baby potatoes boiled & peeled (when boil add some salt)
  2. Make ready 1 cup grated paneer

  5. Take 1 tsp coriander dry powder
  6. Prepare 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  7. Make ready 3-4 onion length wise cutted
  8. Prepare 5-6 cutted tomatoes
  9. Get 7-8 kaju(cashew)
  10. Make ready 2 tsp sesame seeds (white til)
  11. Make ready 6-8 garlic cloves
  12. Prepare to taste Salt

Our dum aloo recipe is also called Punjabi dum aloo. Chilli-coated potatoes in dum aloo curry are cooked with cream, tomatoes and a flavourful paste of whole spices and onions. Dum Aloo or Aloo Dum, a rich and special dish in Kashmiri Cuisine and also in Punjabi Cuisine. The baby potatoes are first deep fried, then cooked slowly at low flame in a gravy with spices.

Steps to make Dum aloo:
  1. Roast potatoes for 5mins. Take a non stick pan add little bit oil then add all dry masala after 2second add baby potatoes mix well cover it for 5mins on slow flame.
  2. For Gravy:- Take a same pan add oil heat add onion garlic saute for 2-3 mins add tomatoes mix well lastly add kaju & seeds. Cool it and grind thin smooth paste.
  3. Take a kadai put oil heat add smooth paste saute for few seconds then add all dry masala cover it till the oil comes then add grated paneer again saute few seconds then lastly add masala baby potatoes. Mix well keep it for 5mins on slow flame till oil comes.
