Our dum aloo recipe is also called Punjabi dum aloo. Chilli-coated potatoes in dum aloo curry are cooked with cream, tomatoes and a flavourful paste of whole spices and onions.   1. Wash and Half boil aloo,peel the skin if required,prick with fork and deep fry.keep aside, grind onions with whole Garam masala, heat oil in a kadai add whole Garam masala and onion paste.
  2. Add the dry masala mix well,grind cashew nuts curd together.add to the onion paste and cook well.add kasuri methi and Garam masala.
  3. When it leaves oil add fried potatoes,mix well cover and cook,til oil separates, add water as required,serve hot with paratha or zeera rice.
