- Get to taste Salt, turmeric powder, kasmiri mirch, chat masala, garam masala

- Take As needed Some chopped coriander leaves
Our dum aloo recipe is also called Punjabi dum aloo. Chilli-coated potatoes in dum aloo curry are cooked with cream, tomatoes and a flavourful paste of whole spices and onions. Dum Aloo or Aloo Dum, a rich and special dish in Kashmiri Cuisine and also in Punjabi Cuisine. The baby potatoes are first deep fried, then cooked slowly at low flame in a gravy with spices.
Steps to make Dum Aloo:
- Peel out all alu,in a kadhai pour 2 spoon oil add little turmeric and salt and fry the aloo,fry till little golden
- In another kadhai pour another 2 spoon oil,add chopped onion fry till golden,add masala paste and fry add all dry masala and fry till it's leavs oil,add tomato puree and salt and fry.
- Add fried aloo and mix and cook in low flame for some time
- Add water and cook in low flame for another 5 min. Garnish with chopped coriander leave and kasturi methi.
- Enjoy with roti aur paratha.
