Steps to make Chaar Daals

Maash, Moong,Masoor, Chana:

  1. Heat oil in a handi and smased Garlic and ginger in it.
  2. Without burning it add slit green chillies
  3. Cook for few minutes and add onions.
  4. Stir fry onions till they’re translucent.
  5. Now add chopped tomato and cook.
  6. Add salt, red chilli powder, haldi, chicken powder along with water.
  7. Let water boil, now add all daals that were soaked for 1 hour.
  8. Cook till all daals are tendered and daals gets desired consistency.
  9. For Tarka : Take butter and oil in a pan and add Button chilli, garlic slices and zeera.
  10. Serve with rice or roti, salad, achaar and pickled onions.
