The ingredients needed to make Keerai Vadai:
  1. Make ready 1 cup Chanadal
  2. Make ready 1 big onion chopped
  3. Prepare 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  4. Prepare 1 bunch Keerai (washed and chopped)
  5. Make ready 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
  6. Take 1 tsp chilli flakes(optional)
  7. Get Pinch hing
  8. Get as required Salt
  9. Make ready as required Oil to deep fry
Steps to make Keerai Vadai:
  1. Soak the Chanadal for 3hours and grind them coarsely.
  2. Into the coarsely grounded Chanadal, add in the cumin seeds, chopped onions, chilli powder, chilli flakes, Salt, hing. Mix everything well.
  3. Then add the chopped Keerai. Mix well.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai, take a small portion of the mixture, roll using your palm and press using your palm to make a vadai. Drop the vadai into the hot oil.
  5. Fry until golden brown.
  6. Hot Keerai vadai is ready to serve. Enjoy with Hot coffee or tea.
