Instructions to make Dal vada:
  1. Wash and soak yellow moong dal in water for 5-6 hours. Crush green chillies ginger and garlic In mixer grinder. After soaking strain water from dal.
  2. Blend dal in mixer grinder in small batches. First grind without water. Then add required water gradually and blend in coarse batter. Add salt, crushed green chillies ginger garlic paste and asafoetida. Add besan and combine well.
  3. Beat batter with hand or hand beater for 2-3 minutes. It makes batter soft and fluffy. Do this while every batches of frying. Take batter with fingers, drop into hot oil and deep fry till golden brown. Serve with fried green chillies and sliced onions.
