  12. Prepare 1/2 tsp mustard
  13. Get 2 tsp Goda masala
  14. Get 1/4 cup Fresh Dhania

  16. Make ready pinch Asafoetida
  17. Prepare to taste Salt as per your
  18. Prepare 2 tbsp Oil
Steps to make Maharashtra Masala Bhaat:
  1. Take a small pan and to that first add the coriander seeds then the star anise, the cinnamon stick, the cloves and the shahi jeera and stir it for just a minute or until the coriander seeds start changing the colour
  2. And once they are roasted lets add them to a blender and make a coarse powder
  3. Now remove it in a bowl and keep it aside
  4. Take a big flat pan add about 2 tbsp of oil and once it hot add the mustard seeds and once start popping add the hing bay leaves curry leaves green chillies and give it a quick stir.
  5. After that add turmeric cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. After 2-3 minutes add the soaked and drained rice and gently stir add salt, kashmiri red chilli powder, freshly grinded garam masala and goda masala and then stir till all the masalas are nicely incorporated with all of the rice.
  7. Add 2 cups of hot water and cashews fresh dhania and mix well and cook on a low flame for the next 8-10 minutes.
  8. Cover with lid.cook until rice are cooked.
  9. Check in intervals.
  10. After 10 minutes open the lid and remove it in a plate.
  11. Serve hot
