Apart from the goat meat and offal pepper soup, there was always the goat meat stew. This stew was always prepared by my mother and my father's sister (may God rest her soul). This hearty goat meat stew is just what we need with these unusually cold weather. I must say this stew is a first with coco yams adding a much needed substance to the dish.

Steps to make Goat Meat Stew:
  1. Wash and boil the goat meat with salt, knorr cube, onions till it's cooked through and it's tender, set aside
  2. Blend tomatoes with tatashe, pepper, onions, ginger and garlic and set aside; heat up pot or frying pan on heat add veg oil and fry the meat a little bit.
  3. Use same oil pour in the blended tomatoes paste and allow to fry, stir so it doesn't burn. cook till the water dries off and the sour taste is gone
  4. Pour in the goat meat stock and stir in little water if necessary and simmer on low heat
  5. Add salt, knorr cube and curry finally. add the fried meat, allow to boil very well then bring down.
  6. Serve with boiled white rice

Goat meat or goat's meat is the meat of the domestic goat (Capra aegagrus hircus). The common name for goat meat is simply "goat", though meat from adult goats is referred to as chevon.
