Instructions to make Shahi khichadi:
- Rinse rice and dal in a water. Drain the water.
- Heat ghee in pressure cooker add jeera and hing then add curry leaves, ginger green chillies and saute for a minutes.
- Now add peanuts, cashwnuts, raisin saute for a minute.
- Add rinsed rice and dal, salt and haldi. Mix well.
- Add pomegranate seeds, carrot and water-3cup and give a quick stir and close the lid.
- Pressure cook for 3 whistle on a medium flame.
- Turn off the flame. Do not open the lid until pressure releases naturally.
- Open the lid and mix with spoon and transfer in plate. Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with kadhi, papad and pickle.
