  2. Get 1 tablespoon iliki
  3. Take 150 ml vegetable oil
  4. Make ready 200 grms sugar
  5. Get 1 tablespoon baking powder
  6. Take 1 cup milk
  7. Prepare 1 cup water
  8. Prepare 1/2 tea spoon egg yellow food colour
  9. Take 1 egg
  10. Prepare 2 liters oil for frying

I love Mandazi (that is the Kiswahili word for the donuts and what they are called in the East African countries that they originate from). Instructions to make Mandazi:
  1. Mix flour, iliki,sugar,baking powder
  2. Add eggs, milk, water and make a dough that is not too soft.
  3. Add oil and cover it with a plastic paper bag and leave it in direct sunlight for 30 min- 1hr for it to raise
  4. After 1hr place it in your working table and cut your shape.
  5. Deep fry them for 5 min till golden brown.
  6. Serve and take with tea, fruit juice and soda.
  7. Enjoy..
