- Take 1 cup moong bean sprouts
- Prepare 1 cup carrot grated
- Get 1/2 tomatoes chopped fine
- Prepare 1/2 lemon
- Take to taste Salt
- Prepare 1 pinch Pepper
- Take 1 tbsp chopped coriander
Brown rice is highly nutritious as it keeps the heart healthy and also aids in digestion. They also help in weight loss. This pulao is better than the white rice pulao and is prepared in the same way. It is full of healthy vegetables which are tender in texture.
Steps to make Brown rice tawa pulav:
- Heat oil and ghee. Add the cumin. Let it splutter. Add green chilies
- Now saute the chopped garlic
- Saute the onions now till translucent
- Next goes in the carrot.Saute for a minute
- Add the green peas and corn.
- Add the spice powders and cook.
- Now add chopped tomatoes and cook further.
- The masala is done
- Now add the cooked brown rice. This the the brown rice I have cooked with 4 cups of water previously and kept.
- Add it to the cooked masala. mix well
- Squeeze half a lemon
- Cook covered for 5 minutes.Garnish with chopped coriander.
- For the salad. Mix the grated carrot with sprouts and chopped tomato in a bowl. Season with salt,pepper and lemon. Add some chopped coriander too.
- Serve the tasty tawa pulav with this yummy salad or pack for lunch.
