Tuvar Daal Khichdi -During winters I often make khichdi as it is quick to make and don't need too many side dishes to Arhar daal Khichdi is my favorite comfort food and my family also likes it so I make it often. Arhar Dal Recipe - This is a lightly spiced and delicious punjabi arhar dal fry made with pigeon pea lentils (toor dal or yellow lentils). The consistency of this delicious dal is not thin but a little towards the thicker side. This consistency makes the dal excellent to go with naan or tandoori rotis or parathas.

- First of all take all ingredients and spices in a plate/sheet. Now take a pressure cooker,add 2 tbsp oil, when oil is heat add some jeera,rai daana,dry spices and hing and curry patta.Stire at least 5 sec. Now add onion slices and fry until golden brown.
- Now add potato pieces, tomato and mix it well. After 5min then add whole spices with salt and mix well until the oil is separeted.
- Add washed rice and daal in to the veggie and stire continuously 5min until oil is separated. Now add 2 and half glass of water. Mix it well. Add some coriander leaves.
- Now ur simple delish toor daal khichdis is ready with light weight veggie.. Now tadka time. Take a tadka pan,add 1 tsp desi ghee,add rai daana,dry red chilli and curry patta.
- Delish khichdis is ready for eat,serve with curd,papad,pickels and green salad.
