Steps to make Paneer Kathi Roll:
- Arrange all the ingredients ready. And prepare the chappathi dough(see synopsis above). If using ready made chappathi sheets or tortilla sheets then you can avoid making the dough.
- Take a wok, on medium heat, add 3 tsps of oil, crackle cumin seeds / jeera and crushed coriander seeds.
- Now add all the powder ingredients and saute. Add a dash of water, so that the ingredients don't burn and they cook properly.
- Now add all the vegetables one after the other and saute them until they are tender. Add required amount of salt and mix.
- Once the vegetables are cooked to perfection, add the cubed paneer pieces and mix. Switch off the flame and add crushed kauri methi to this.
- Now make small balls of the dough and ply them to a flat circle.
- On a non-stick tawa, cook these flattened chappathi dough, until you see brown spots on both the sides.
- Take it off the tawa, and add the prepared paneer stuffing in the middle, add some cheese(optional) and roll it.
- Again, on the non-stick tawa, add little oil / butter and roast the rolls until crisp.
- Cut the rolls into 2 and serve it hot with a cup of chaai.
