- Firstly wash& soak yellow moong dal for 1/2 an hr
- Peeled and wash bottlegourd & chopped into medium size pieces (cubes)
- Boil the bottlegourd along with soaked yellow moong dal in pressure cooker for about one whistle.
- When cooled completely then open the cooker.
- In a kadhai add tomato paste, saute till it becomes soft.
- Add ginger garlic paste & saute.
- Add turmeric powder, asafoetida, red chilli powder, dhanya jeera powder & mix well.
- Now add cooked bottlegourd, saltas per taste, chopped coriander leaves & cook for 4/5 minutes on low flame.
- Serve with hot fulka or chapati.
