- Now cut big pieces of rest of the gourd and pressure cook them for 1 whistle. Let it cool. make a smooth paste with the help of a blender.
- Cut the onion into small pieces. Make a paste of green chili,ginger and garlic. Now heat oil in an non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds, when they crackle, add asafoetida and onions, cook till they become pink, add ginger garlic paste, cook till the mixture leaves oil, add all the spices, salt and cook for 2 minutes, add the steamed pieces and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes,finally add the gourd paste and cook for 5 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati of parantha. It is very delicious and everyone will like it.
