- Prepare 2 tbsp White Oil
- Get 3 Green Cardamom
- Take 3 Cloves
- Take 1 inch Cinnamon
Steps to make Chicken Salan:
- At first make a paste with fried onions, yoghurt, turmeric powder, coriander powder and 1/2 tspn kashmiri red chilli powder.
- Take a pan and add oil.
- When it gets hot make the flame low and sprinkle some Kashmiri red chilli powder.
- Then add cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and saute these.
- Add chicken pieces and fry it until these change the colour.
- Add rest of kashmiri red chilli powder and mix it properly.
- Cook until the chicken gets 40% soft.
- Add the masala paste of onion yoghurt and dry masala.
- At the same time add ginger paste, garlic paste, cashew paste, green chilli paste and tomato paste.
- Add salt as per your taste.
- Mix it properly.
- Cook it for 10 minutes without lid.
- Add 1 glass of hot water and mix it.
- Add dried fenugreek leaves, garam masala powder and mix it.
- Add sugar for balancing the taste.
- Cover the pan with lid and cook it for 20 min in low flame.
- Remove the lid and cook it for 5 min in medium high flame.
- Keep the consistency of the gravy as per your choice.
- Chicken Salon is ready to serve.
- Enjoy it with Rice, Roti, Paratha, Biriyani etc.
